1953 was Buick's 50th Anniversary. To celebrate, Harley Earl designed the most glamorous Buick ever…the 1953 Skylark. This handmade diecast captures all the elegance of Earl's masterpiece from the "million dollar" grille to the rakish beltline dip. The forty-spoke Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels are beautifully chromed. This i a very nice model for the price. The fit, finish and detail are very good quality. I have several models displayed together, with some higher priced models and this '53 Skylark fits in with the best of them.

Build quality was deeply disappointing: trim not fully attached, several parts not seated properly, large gaps twixt panels; paint is nice and details are nice but it was obviously just slapped together carelessly.

the 53 Skylark is a work of art in real life and as a display on my desk. the paint pops ! i have Eldorado and others scattered about my house,and this my new favorite ! call me crazy, but i use car wax on these. because i am not allowed to park a fu
