Taiko Drums are traditional Japanese barrel shaped percussion instruments ranging from small to massive sizes known for their thunderous sound and physical performance style. With roots in ancient rituals, battle and theatre they are characterized by high energy, synchronized movement and perfect discipline. In battle they were used to communicate between commanders and units as well as scaring the enemy.
