Celebrate the Spirit of America with this Fantastic 1:18 Diecast Porsche 956 by Solido

Leave it to Solido to recreate Porsche’s ground breaking 956 race car in high definition 1:18 scale diecast metal. The Porsche 956 ground effects package was so successful its lap record at the Nurburgring stood from 1983 to 2018!

By 1986 Porsche had been dominating the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning 8 of the last 10 races. The revolutionary Porsche 956 took the checkered flag first in each of the prior four years with privateer race team Joest Racing winning in 1984 and 1985. For 1986 Joest Racing created a team featuring all American drivers. They called the team Spirit of America and painted their Porsche 956 like an American flag.

This paint scheme has been masterfully recreated with white stars on the blue painted front end and red and white stripes painted from the doors to the rear wing.
