Oxford Diecast Recreates the Rare & Unique Messerschmitt KR200 Bubble Car in 1:18 Scale Diecast
The Microcar craze started in the early 1950s. European manufacturers created these tiny cars for customers who were starved for personal transportation but had limited funds and resources. Many were built by airplane manufacturers who transferred their knowledge of aerodynamics and lightweight materials from the air to the road.
These cars were nicknamed “bubble” cars because many included aircraft inspired bubble canopies. Oxford Diecast has recreated the Messerschmitt KR200 bubble car in precise 1:18 scale. This three wheeled diecast features a hinged “fighter plane” inspired bubble canopy covering the tandem seating passenger compartment. Flip open the canopy for a great view of the dash and steering “yoke”. One look and there’s no denying just how much aircraft design was incorporated into this car.
Guaranteed to add flare and interest to any diecast collection.
