About Dyno Don Nicholson
Nicholson earned his first national-level wins in Chevrolet products in the early 1960s before switching to Mercury's new Comet in 1964, after General Motors curtailed factory support for racing. He remained with Ford and Mercury through the 1960s and 1970s, reaching the final rounds in nearly 50 national events and becoming one of the best-known match-race competitors of his era, alongside contemporaries such as Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins (Chevrolet), Arnie "the Farmer" Beswick (Pontiac), and Sox & Martin and "Dandy" Dick Landy (Mopar).
