Build a combat icon of the Cold War! The F-4C Phantom II fighter jet from COBI, a supersonic conqueror from the Vietnam War era! This brick set is a tribute to the power, courage, and groundbreaking moments in the history of military aviation. With 738 bricks, you can recreate the legendary fighter jet that faced off against Soviet military aircraft. The F-4C Phantom II is a machine that dominated the jungles of Vietnam, a symbol of US technological dominance and the unwavering spirit of its pilots. Build the F-4F Phantom II, an icon that has been etched in gold in the history of the Vietnam War and add a true aerial predator to your collection. The supersonic fighter jet enters the action! The F-4C Phantom II is an American, two-seat, supersonic, long-range interceptor fighter jet, powered by two jet engines. Designed by McDonnell Aircraft for the United States Navy, it quickly gained recognition in the US Air Force and Marine Corps as well. The F-4 Phantom II was one of the key aircraft during the Vietnam War. It entered combat operations in December 1964 with the 555th Tactical Fighter Squadron ("Triple Nickel"). Initially, both seats in the cockpit were occupied by pilots, but later the rear pilot was replaced by a weapons systems officer. The Phantom was a versatile aircraft, it served as a fighter, tactical bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. It participated in many clashes with MiG aircraft, including the famous Operation Bolo. Despite advanced technology and high firepower, the F-4 suffered heavy losses, both from enemy aircraft and ground-based anti-aircraft defenses. The aircraft could carry over 8,400 kg of armament, and subsequent versions were increasingly better equipped: from radars and guided missiles to the M61 Vulcan cannon in later versions.
