About the Hawk T1 and the Red Arrows
The Hawk T1 is a two-seat advanced jet trainer used by the Royal Air Force for pilot training and fast-jet conversion, with tandem seating and dual controls for instructor oversight. The Red Arrows, the RAF's aerobatic display team, were formed in 1964 and fly Hawk aircraft from RAF Scampton, marking their 25th anniversary, or Silver Jubilee, in 1989 with commemorative displays showcasing their precision formation flying.
