Introduced in 1915, the JN-4 — one of the many aircraft in the "JN" series produced by Curtiss, and nicknamed the "Jenny" — was a biplane trainer that remained extremely influential in the interwar period. It was instrumental in the 1920s civil aviation boom, as many surplus Jennys were sold to private owners.
