About the Mirage 2000
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine, delta-wing fighter developed by Dassault Aviation, first flown in the late 1970s and fitted with fly-by-wire controls for high agility. Powered by a SNECMA M53 turbofan capable of speeds over Mach 2, it has served with the French Air Force and several export operators. Starting in early 2025, France began transferring upgraded Mirage 2000-5F aircraft to Ukraine, with the first jets arriving that February.
