About the Monkeemobile
The real Monkeemobile was built by Hollywood car customizer Dean Jeffries, who started with a 1966 Pontiac GTO and reworked its body, chassis, and drivetrain into one of the most recognized custom cars of 1960s television. Two were built for the show - one used for filming and a second built as a backup and touring show car.
