About the Tiger I
The Tiger heavy tank saw its combat debut in September 1942 and remains one of the most famous tank designs of World War II. Its 88mm gun and armored protection allowed it to engage enemy armor at extreme range, and from its introduction the Tiger became the benchmark against which other tanks of the war were judged.
