Product Highlights
German World War II Battleship Bismarck 1/1100 Die Cast Model
The Bismarck was one of Nazi Germany's largest and most powerful battleships during World War II. Commissioned in 1940, she was heavily armed, well-armored, and capable of reaching speeds of over 30 knots. In May 1941, Bismarck and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen entered the Atlantic to attack Allied merchant shipping. During the Battle of the Denmark Strait, Bismarck famously sank the British battlecruiser HMS Hood, but was later damaged by British forces. After a massive pursuit involving ships and aircraft, Bismarck was surrounded by the Royal Navy. On May 27, 1941, she was sunk in the North Atlantic. Her brief combat career made Bismarck one of the most famous warships in naval history.
