About the F-15 Eagle
Developed by McDonnell Douglas in the early 1970s, the twin-engine F-15 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 turbofan engines capable of exceeding Mach 2.5. Its radar, payload capacity and maneuverability let it engage multiple targets at range, and variants such as the F-15E Strike Eagle add precision ground-attack capability. The F-15 has been credited with more than 100 aerial victories and no losses in air-to-air combat across its operators.
