About the F-22 Raptor
The F-22 Raptor was developed by Lockheed Martin and entered U.S. Air Force service in 2005. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney F119 engines, it is capable of supercruise — sustained supersonic flight without afterburners — and combines stealth shaping with advanced sensor fusion. Production ended in 2012 after 195 aircraft were built.
