About the M110
The M110 series was an 8-inch (203mm) self-propelled howitzer that entered U.S. Army service in 1963, mounting the M115 howitzer on a tracked chassis. It served through the Cold War before later variants were withdrawn from active U.S. Army service in the early 1990s.
