About the M24 Chaffee
The M24 Chaffee replaced the earlier Stuart series of light tanks, pairing a 75mm main gun with a five-man crew that included a dedicated loader. Its torsion-bar suspension and twin Cadillac engines gave it strong mobility despite light armor. The M24 saw action in both the European and Pacific theaters and remained in service with various nations into the Cold War.
