About the Tiran 5
Israel captured large numbers of Egyptian and Syrian T-54/T-55 tanks during the Six-Day War and later conflicts, then refitted them with a 105mm main gun and Western fire-control and communications equipment to create the Tiran 5. The type served with the Israeli Defense Forces before later being exported to allied nations.
