About the Pak 97/38
The Pak 97/38 was a German World War II anti-tank gun built using the barrel of the French 75mm Mle 1897 field gun, many of which were captured after the 1940 invasion of France. It gave German anti-tank units a more effective weapon than the aging 37mm PaK 36, though its performance was later surpassed by the 75mm PaK 40.
