About the M4A3 Sherman "Wet"
The M4 Sherman was among the most widely produced and deployed armored vehicles of World War II, forming the backbone of American armored forces in numerous versions and variants. The "Wet" designation refers to fuel tanks immersed in a propylene glycol solution, a change introduced in 1944 to reduce the risk of fire and improve crew survivability compared to earlier production models.
