About the F-16 Fighting Falcon
Developed by General Dynamics and introduced in the late 1970s, the single-engine F-16 is known for its agility, fly-by-wire controls and bubble canopy, which together give pilots strong visibility and maneuverability in both air-to-air and air-to-ground roles. Capable of speeds over Mach 2, it remains in front-line and reserve service with the U.S. Air Force and numerous allied air forces, which regularly fly it in multinational exercises such as Iniochos.
