Product Highlights
U-2/TR-1A 68-10329, Osan AFB, 2016 1/72 Die Cast Model
The U-2 Dragon Lady is a high-altitude American reconnaissance aircraft designed to gather intelligence over vast distances. Developed by Lockheed in the 1950s, it was built to fly above most weather systems and traditional air defenses. Its slender fuselage, extremely long wings, and lightweight construction allow it to operate at altitudes exceeding 70,000 feet. The U-2 carries sophisticated cameras, sensors, and electronic equipment capable of collecting detailed information from great distances. Although originally developed during the Cold War for surveillance missions, the aircraft has continued serving for intelligence, reconnaissance, and observation operations. Its unusual design and demanding flight characteristics require specially trained pilots. Despite being decades old, the U-2 has received numerous upgrades that have kept it relevant to modern military and intelligence missions.
